Hello Theatre Parents!

It’s September, and we are in full swing! I’m sending this email to update you on all you need to know in the Theatre department this month!

1. **Schedule:**

Please note our rehearsal schedule for those of you who have students in our One Act - “Badger”. You can find that on the Theatre III Calendar linked here and on our calendar page. Please find more info about our website below…

2. **Class Fees & Fundraiser:**

Remember to pay your class fees! Cash or checks made payable to “Grissom Theatre” should be turned into the payment box in the theatre classroom.

Additionally, for the Chocolate Bar Fundraiser, please turn in all funds by Sept. 26th! When possible, please turn in a check for these funds (written out to Grissom Theatre).

3. **Auditions:**

Make sure that you and your student(s) are aware of our auditions for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!” (Also known as “BCPE”). This show is open to all Grissom students. Auditions will be on Wednesday, September 18th, starting at 4 pm. They should be done by 6:30. The shows will be on December 14th and 15th.

This month, we’ll also have auditions for our Spring musical, “Little Shop of Horrors.” Those will be the week of September 23rd. Once again, the auditions are open to all Grissom Students and will begin on those days at 4 pm. We hope to see your student!

4. **Volunteers:**

Speaking of auditions, we will need a few parent volunteers willing and able to register and check students in during those times. Please let us know if you can help us by sending us a note at ghstheatreparents@gmail.com.

5. **Website:**

Thanks for checking out our website and setting up an account! Let us know where you are willing and able to serve by going here.

Please share the site with anyone you know who might be interested—including sponsors! Our website is a great way to spotlight all we do at Grissom Theatre and our outstanding students and parent volunteers.

6. **Sponsors:**

Finally - speaking of sponsorships, we are looking for sponsors for the 2024-25 school year. See the relevant information here if you know someone potentially interested in sponsoring (or think your employer would be). Once again, our website is a great resource highlighting all we have to offer. Additionally, we are a 501(c)(3) organization - so all donations are tax-deductible!

One last news item - Grissom’s Open House is Thursday, September 19th. I will not be in town on this day- but feel free to email me with any questions (olivia.skillern@hsv-k12.org)

That’s all I have for this month! Thanks again for being a part of our beautiful community at Grissom Theatre.

Theatrically,

--
