Hello Theatre Parents!
It’s January, and we’re excited to share all the updates for this month! There’s important information for parents of Theatre class students as well as Musical students, so be sure to read the sections that apply to you.
Musical Parents
1. **Parent Meeting Recap:**
If you couldn’t attend the Parent Meeting on January 16 or would like to revisit what was covered, you can find the digital summary here.
2. **We Need Volunteers!**
We’d love your help! Whether it’s helping with set design, managing concessions, or another area, there are plenty of ways to lend a hand. Volunteering is a fun way to support your student and connect with other parents. Fill out this form to let us know all the areas where you’d be willing to help. We are currently trying to build a volunteer schedule, and it helps to have a large pool of possibilities so that everyone can help and nobody is burdened with helping. We hope you will take the time to let us know how you’d like to help!
3. **Rehearsal Schedules:**
Keep up with rehearsal plans!
The general rehearsal schedule is available on our main calendar page.
For specific cast member call times, check this detailed calendar.
4. **Missed Rehearsals:**
If your child needs to miss rehearsal for any reason, please submit the excuse form here.
5. **Musical Fees:**
Participation fees are:
-- $250 for cast members
-- $50 for tech crew
Full payments are due by February 20th, but you’re welcome to make partial payments in the meantime. These fees can also be combined with other charges in the Theatre Program. Payment Options: -- Place cash or checks (payable to “Grissom Theatre”) in the payment box in the theatre classroom.
-- Pay via PayPal using this link. 6. **Sponsor Our Show!:**
We also rely on sponsorships to help offset the costs of our shows! We are thankful to our current sponsors, but we’d love to have more! Sponsors can be businesses you frequent, your employer, or even family friends. Find all the details and resources here.
7. **Parent Page Access:**
Don’t forget to visit our website for the latest updates, rehearsal schedules, and opportunities to stay involved. Parent pages are now accessible without creating an account—just head to the site and start exploring!
8. **Ticket Sales:**
Family members of cast and crew get early access to Little Shop of Horrors tickets starting February 10th. Tickets will open to the public on February 14th.
